The man, the myth, the legend! Meet the man who started it all!

Yuriy Vaynshteyn is the owner of Engel & Völkers Charlotte, the areas luxury international real estate firm. Throughout his years of real estate leadership, Yuriy has supported teams of top producing agents, full-time employees and experienced brokers in two locations, specializing in residential and commercial REOs, short sales, property management, relocation, and general brokerage.

Yuriy has been a Charlotte resident since 1991 and is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Prior to his move into the real estate industry, he held senior management positions with IBM for 14 years. Yuriy opened his title agency, The Title Wizard, in 2019. As involved as he is with his business, Yuriy enjoys traveling the world, skiing and being active in the community. Yuriy is also bilingual, speaking English and Russian.

Meet Lee Houghton, one of your Title Wizards!

A highly motivated individual with 10+ years of experience in the Title insurance industry. Lee found her passion in the ever-challenging world of title at a rather young age. She is dedicated to expanding her expertise and delivering excellent customer service. Following her mother’s path, she started working at a title agency during high school and by age 22, earned her title insurance license. She’s grateful that she can bring her passion and experience to The Title Wizard every day. She is one our most bubbly and energetic members. If you ever run into her on the field, she will certainly brighten your day!

Meet Maria Houghton, one of your Title Wizards!

A highly motivated individual with over 20 years in the title industry, Maria brings extensive knowledge and experience to our customers. She began her career in her early 20s in South Carolina, working as an Administrative Assistant in a Real Estate Firm. From there, she moved to Florida, where she gained comprehensive experience in title insurance, handling everything from title searches to issuing policies. After relocating to Charlotte, Maria partnered with a well-respected real estate attorney as a paralegal, playing a crucial role in building a thriving new practice. She then transitioned alongside the same attorney to the title insurance sector, where they spent 15 years growing a successful Title Insurance Company. Now, at The Title Wizard, Maria is eager to continue expanding the business and delivering exceptional service to clients.
